I call them 5 am coffee cake and scones, because I couldn't sleep one night, so just decided to get out of bed and start baking. It reminded me of the days when I was a baker and used to wake up early and make all the sweets for the customers who would soon be coming.

Hello! I'm Chef Chong. I'm happy to be here, cooking for you, giving you some tips, and hopefully getting you to start cooking and continue cooking! I'm from Malaysia, where I grew up on a family farm. I lived in a house of 20, so food was always a huge part of my life, especially to keep this big family happy and healthy. I loved watching my Mom cook everyday, and soon I became her little helper. Cooking became second nature to me, something that came easy to me. Some people can sing, some people can dance, I was born to cook. I love putting flavors together in my head, knowing what will go well together.
