Zak Zaikine is an acclaimed artist who is well known for his paintings, sculptures and ceramics. His work has earned him over 30 blue ribbon and first place art awards from 1959 through the late seventies. Presently his works are in the high hundreds for very small pieces to the low to mid thousands if you can find them. Zak Zaikine has also been featured in national publications and has been exhibited in numerous private and corporate collections including San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art, the Ann Leonard Gallery: Woodstock, NY and the Jamie Szoke Gallery: Soho, New York.

His work possesses a whimsical, child-like quality filled with Chagall-like attributes: fanciful, magical and mysterious. Like Chagall, Zak shares a Russian heritage and from that tradition he delivers, with his own interpretation, folklore and iconographic references that both beguile and enlighten.

"The joy I experience in making these new works is
a gathering of many things that have been lovingly
                  carried for my entire life."

"As these images leave my studio and arrive to you,
may they impart the same smiles and good cheer and
joy that they gave me as I created
                  them."

                "Thank you for your patronage.

                With warmest regards,"
                Zak Zaikine
